UK Homefront is unlike most Re-enactment Groups in that we try to bring to life the normal every day spirit of the 40s.

Not for us the endless officers & ladies in furs but the everyday man & woman as seen in the high street of any town or village.

We have women in their pinnys & curlers pushing our utility Pram or a 1930s push chair (well worn as they have been passed down due to shortages) , Shop keepers, A glazier repairing bomb damage, a Dr & his nurse. Working men & women in overalls, a nippy having a quick cigarette break, a policeman called back from his retirement, the ladies of the Land Army & our brave home guard "other ranks"

On leave are members of the forces, nearly all again are other ranks.

We even have a lady of the night !!
